libpod-index-perl software package provides index and search PODs using X<> entries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpod-index-perl
libpod-index-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpod-index-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpod-index-perl *
You will get with libpod-index-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
